INTRODUCTION

I will present you a person that was one of the biggest star in the USA andin the world, his name is Elvis Presley. He was a rock and roll singer and a great dancer. He then became an actor and a sex symbol for the ladies.

Elvis Aaron Presley was born on January 8,1935 in East Tupelo, Mississippi. When Elvis was 13, he and his parents moved to Memphis. He graduated from Humes High School in Memphis. After, Elvis worked as a truck driver for Crown ElectricCompany.

SINGING CAREER

He began singing in his local town of Memphis and then signed with a local recording company. He was one of the first men to sing rock and roll music. He had is own stylewhen he was singing and dancing. He did very dynamic movement when he was dancing and the girls really liked the way he was singing and dancing. Teenage girls became hysterical during his show. Thenick name of Elvis was the KING.

The first song that was a hit was named « Heartbreak Hotel » in January 1956 and was number one in the USA.
