NOMINATIONS ARE INVITED

Department of Chemistry

2009-2010
Outstanding T.A. Awards

Through this annual award the Department wishes to recognize exceptionalTAs who have demonstrated proficiency and outstanding contributions in this field. The award is made through an open nomination process: i.e., any undergraduate or graduate student, facultymember or member of the civil service staff may nominate a teaching assistant within the department for the 2009-2010 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. Selection of the recipient will bemade by a committee of Chemistry Department personnel involved in the teaching program. Graduate student TAs will receive the Robert L. Fern Award and Undergraduate TAs will receive the RobertC. Brastad Award.

Nominations are confidential and must include:

The name of the nominee
The Chemistry course(s) and semester(s) in which the TA served
Thereasons that the TA should be considered for this award
* The name and signature of the person making the nomination

For your convenience, A NOMINATION FORM IS PRINTED ON THE BACK OF THISNOTICE. The nomination deadline for the 2009-2010 academic year is Friday, May 7, 2010.
